Terms of Service

By agreeing to these Terms during account sign-up or by accessing the VetterCare Service, you accept these Terms. We may change the Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the VetterCare Service after changes are posted constitutes your consent to be bound by the modified Terms.

VetterCare is a neutral platform connecting Pet Owners and Service Providers. VetterCare does not provide pet care services, does not employ or endorse Service Providers or Pet Owners, and is not responsible for the performance or conduct of users. Service Providers operate independently and determine in their own discretion how to provide Pet Care Services. All transactions are between Pet Owners and Service Providers.

By using the VetterCare Service you certify you are at least 18 years of age and will comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Pet Owners must ensure pets are vaccinated, licensed, and insured as required by local law. Service Providers must hold all required licenses, permits, and business registrations to legally provide Pet Care Services.

You agree to use the VetterCare Service only lawfully and for its intended purposes. Prohibited conduct includes:

• submitting viruses or malicious code;
• using the platform to arrange services then completing transactions outside of it;
• posting false, misleading, pornographic, threatening, harassing, or defamatory content;
• impersonating other users;
• creating duplicate accounts;
• and soliciting other users' passwords or sensitive information.

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive autodialed, prerecorded, or artificial voice calls or SMS text messages from or on behalf of VetterCare containing service-related information, and/or sales, marketing, or advertising messages, at any phone number you provide. Your carrier's normal messaging and data rates may apply.

Opting in to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any service or using the VetterCare platform. You may opt out of marketing messages at any time by replying STOP. For help, reply HELP or contact hello@vettercare.com. If you deactivate your mobile phone number, you agree to update your account information promptly.

Pet Owners and Service Providers transact via Bookings on the VetterCare platform. Pet Owners agree to pay the total amount indicated in a confirmed Booking including applicable service fees. Service Providers agree to honor the price set forth in a confirmed Booking. VetterCare facilitates payment as a limited payment agent for Service Providers. All fees are listed and payable in local currency. Except as expressly provided in these Terms, all fees paid are non-refundable once paid. Payment processing may be provided by Stripe, subject to the Stripe Services Agreement.

6.1 Cancellations and Refunds

If a Service Provider cancels, the Pet Owner will receive a full refund including service fees. If a Pet Owner cancels before 12:00 p.m. the day before service: full refund. After that: 50% refund for the first 7 days, 100% refund for days beyond that.

VetterCare may facilitate third-party Background Checks and Identity Verifications on Service Providers. VetterCare does not independently verify this information and is not liable for its accuracy, timeliness, or completeness. Background Checks are not a substitute for conducting your own evaluation of Service Providers.

VetterCare and its licensors retain all rights to the VetterCare Service, its technology, software, documentation, and content. Nothing in these Terms licenses any intellectual property rights to you beyond the right to access and use the VetterCare Service as described herein.

The VetterCare Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VetterCare disclaims all warranties, express, implied, or statutory, including all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VetterCare will not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the VetterCare Service. VetterCare's aggregate liability will not exceed the amounts paid by you to VetterCare in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to liability, or $100.00 USD if no amounts have been paid.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona and applicable U.S. federal law. All disputes must be resolved exclusively in state or federal courts located in Phoenix, Arizona.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, claims may only be brought on an individual basis. You waive any right to participate in a class action or representative proceeding against VetterCare.

VetterCare is not liable for delays or failures resulting from causes outside its reasonable control including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, or similar events.
